CALL TO
ORDER
Mayor
Clifford L. Mason convened the meeting at 7:30 PM.
PLEDGE OF
ALLEGIANCE
Mayor
Mason asked everyone to stand and recite the pledge of allegiance and to remain
standing to pause for a moment of silence to remember those who serve our
country.
ROLL CALL
Those
responding to the roll call were: Councilmember Jim Friend, Councilmember Bob
Gilbert and Mayor Clifford L. Mason. Councilmember Alayna Morris, Council
President Scott Walters, Councilmember Pam DeVaul and Councilmember Annelle
Porter were absent.
Village
Administrator Mike McFarland and Fiscal Officer Jessica Ethell were also
present.
Councilmember
Bob Gilbert made a point of order that a quorum was not present.
Mayor
Mason noted that a point of order had been made that a quorum was not present.
The Ohio Revised Code Section 731.44 states that a majority of all of the
members elected shall be a quorum. Mayor Mason asked the fiscal officer to
please call the roll again for purposes of determining a quorum.
Those
responding to the second roll call were:
Councilmember Jim Friend, Councilmember Bob Gilbert and Mayor Clifford
L. Mason.
Fiscal
Officer Jessica Ethell announced that a majority of the elected members of
Council were not present and therefore a quorum did not exist.
Mayor
Mason announced that the point of order had been addressed and it was
determined that a quorum was not present. He asked for a motion for the meeting
to adjourn.
ADJOURNMENT
Councilmember
Jim Friend made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:33 PM.
