Penn Tex Ventures, the entity that had asked the Village of Hebron to consider re-zoning a property in the 500 block of East Main St, has informed the village in a formal letter that they are withdrawing their application. Village Council will convene the public hearing Wednesday at 6 p.m., read the letter, and take no action.
The Hebron Historical Society will meet the 2nd Monday of February at 7pm. at the Masonic Temple behind PNB and meetings are open to the public.

The Hebron Historical Society will be participating at the Veteran’s celebration at the Newark Library on 11/11 with a display table from 1pm. - 8pm. with some Hebron uniforms and military pictures. It’s open to the public.
The Hebron Museum located at 137 W. Main Street next to Arensberg, continues to keep regular hours: Mon. & Fri. 1-4pm, Sat. 10-1pm.. They are collecting aluminum cans during open hours and plastic bags which are used to crochet mats for the homeless. Thank you for your support.
The Historical Society does not have a meeting in December but will resume the first Monday in January at 7pm. Meetings are open to the public.
Crews from Shelly Co. are paving Canal Road today as this 2012 Ohio Public Works Commission project enters its final phase. The $293,000 improvement awarded to BUDS Inc., which included the replacement of two culverts, was paid with 60 percent OPWC money. The paving part of the project had been postponed by the Village while Canal Road was used as a detour route for ODOT and ODNR improvements.
