The Kelly Drive and Westview Drive Street Improvements Project began this morning as scheduled. Up to $349,000 of this $459,110 project is being funded by a combination of grants and a loan from the Ohio Public Works Commission. Kokosing Construction Company’s schedule includes 23 days of concrete work and 3-4 days of paving, weather permitting.
Kokosing Construction Company, Inc. plans to begin work for the Kelly Drive and Westview Drive Street Improvement Project on Monday, July 7. Notices will be placed on front doors of properties which will be affected, as the work will require driveway closures in order to allow for curb and driveway aprons to be removed and replaced. While driveways are closed, one side of the street will remain open for on-street parking.
Records Commission Meeting
The Hebron Village Records Commission will meet at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, July 16, 2014. This meeting will take place at the Municipal Complex, 934 West Main Street, Hebron.

Beginning Friday, June 27th, I-70 westbound in Licking County at the 79 interchange will be restricted.
Schedule as follows:
Friday, June 27th
The left lane will be closed from Friday at 7:00 p.m. to Saturday, June 28th at 4:00 p.m.
Saturday June 28th
The right lane will close from Saturday at 4:00 p.m. until Sunday, June 29th at 8:00 p.m.
In addition the on ramp at 79 for I-70 westbound will be closed for the duration of the project. Ramp traffic will be detoured to US 40 to SR37 for re-entry to I-70.
All lanes and the ramp will reopen Sunday at 8:00 p.m.
The Hebron Village Council has reinstated the July 9, 2014 Council Meeting, to be held at 7pm in Hebron Council Chambers. (This meeting was previously cancelled.)

It is scheduled to be looked at next week. We urge all to have an additional means of being warned of approaching severe weather.

The downed pole at Canal Park in Hebron has been removed. When the water recedes, the fields will once again be open for use.

The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a draft renewal permit for the Hebron Water Reclamation Facility. A copy of this permit is available for review at the Hebron Municipal Building located at 934 W. Main Street, Hebron, Ohio. The Ohio EPA is accepting public comments regarding this permit within thirty days of this notice.

Resurfacing project to continue on SR 79
Jacksontown, Ohio (June, 1, 2014) – A resurfacing project will continue next week, starting Monday, June 2 on State Route 79 near Buckeye Lake. This project is a continuation of the work on SR 360.
Portions of SR 79 will be resurfaced from north of I-70 to Enterprise Drive. Work will be performed at night as well as during the day. This portion of the project will be completed by June 27th, weather permitting.
ODOT’s contractor for this project is the Shelly Company and the completion date for the remainder of this project is September, 2014.

I-70 Off-Ramp Closures at State Route 79 Thursday
The I-70 east and westbound off ramps for State Route 79 (Buckeye Lake) will close temporarily this Thursday, May 1st, for maintenance work.
ODOT’s Licking County crew will be performing pavement repairs on the exit ramps from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., weather permitting. The I-70 eastbound off ramp will close first; once this work is complete, crews will move to the I-70 westbound off ramp for SR 79.
Motorists may detour either SR 37 (Exit 126) south, to SR 79, or via SR 13 (Exit 132) north, to US 40 west, back to SR 79.

Chipper Day-BRANCHES ONLY
The Hebron Public Works Department will have a chipper day on Tuesday, May 13, 2014. Residents should take branches of not more than five inches in diameter and leave branches as long as possible to the edge of the street where the Public Works Department will pick them up. The department will not go into private yards to retrieve branches. Please set out branches only - no shrubs, roots, leaves etc… If you have questions, please call the Municipal Complex at 928-2261.
