The meeting will take place at the Municipal Complex, 934 West Main Street, Hebron.

From the Ohio Department of Transportation:

Beginning Monday, June 8th construction will begin in the village of Hebron.
Crews will work between Chestnut Lane and US 40 on High Street constructing a pedestrian walkway and foot bridge. Traffic will be maintained but lane closures may be necessary at times.
The contractor on the job is Shelly and Sands Inc. and the project is expected to be completed October 31, 2015, weather permitting.

The Hebron Museum located at 137 W. Main Street is proud to announce an exhibit of items from 50+ years of The National Trail Raceway, photos and memorabilia.

Hebron Historical Society Annual Picnic

The annual picnic for the Hebron Historical Society will be on Monday night, June 1st at the Masonic Temple behind Park National Bank starting at 6pm. Just bring a covered dish, drinks and table service will be provided.

Currently we have a National Trail Raceway display at the museum located at 137 W. Main Street in the Village Shopping Center. Our hours are Mon. & Fri. 1-4 and Sat. 10-1. For more information please call 929-1545.

The Hebron Public Works Department will have a chipper day on Tuesday, May 12, 2015. Residents should take branches of not more than five inches in diameter and leave branches as long as possible to the edge of the street where the Public Works Department will pick them up. The department will not go into private yards to retrieve branches. Please set out branches only - no shrubs, roots, leaves etc… If you have questions, please call the Municipal Complex at 928-2261.

Buckeye Lake Dam

Hebron, Ohio

24 March 2015

We are aware of the potential for water inundation in our community due to a break in the earthen dam at Buckeye Lake and are working closely with local and state emergency responders to be prepared to respond to and minimize loss of life and property in our community.

The Hebron Fire Chief, Hebron Police Chief, Hebron Mayor and Hebron Village Administrator have communicated regularly with Mr. Sean Grady, Director of the Licking County Emergency Management/Homeland Security Agency, representatives from Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Licking County Sheriff’s Department, all Buckeye Lake area police and fire departments and officials of Lakewood Local Schools concerning the report issued by the US Army Corp of Engineers regarding the potential breech of the earthen dam at Buckeye Lake.

We strongly encourage every resident to visit the Licking County Emergency Management/Homeland Security website at www.lcounty.com/ema and follow the steps to join the emergency notification option titled Code Red. All residents are encouraged to also visit buckeyelakedamsafety.com for additional valuable information regarding the issue. Penn Tex Ventures, the entity that had asked the Village of Hebron to consider re-zoning a property in the 500 block of East Main St, has informed the village in a formal letter that they are withdrawing their application. Village Council will convene the public hearing Wednesday at 6 p.m., read the letter, and take no action.
