Traffic Advisory


From the Ohio Department of Transportation:

Beginning Friday, June 27th, I-70 westbound in Licking County at the 79 interchange will be restricted.

Schedule as follows:

Friday, June 27th
The left lane will be closed from Friday at 7:00 p.m. to Saturday, June 28th at 4:00 p.m.

Saturday June 28th
The right lane will close from Saturday at 4:00 p.m. until Sunday, June 29th at 8:00 p.m.

In addition the on ramp at 79 for I-70 westbound will be closed for the duration of the project. Ramp traffic will be detoured to US 40 to SR37 for re-entry to I-70.

All lanes and the ramp will reopen Sunday at 8:00 p.m.




The Hebron Village Council has reinstated the July 9, 2014 Council Meeting, to be held at 7pm in Hebron Council Chambers. (This meeting was previously cancelled.)

NOTICE: The tornado siren located in the cemetery, east of downtown Hebron, is out of Service. B&C Communications of Columbus has been contacted to look into the problem. It is scheduled to be looked at next week. We urge all to have an additional means of being warned of approaching severe weather.

Please Note: The tornado siren located at Canal Park in Hebron is working correctly.

Update: Canal Park Ball Fields


The downed pole at Canal Park in Hebron has been removed. When the water recedes, the fields will once again be open for use.



NOTICE: The ball diamonds at Canal Park in Hebron are currently under water and closed until further notice. We will provide an update as the status progresses. Thank you for your patience.

Licking County River Round Up


The Village of Hebron will be participating in the Annual Licking County River Round Up again this year with our goal being to clean the Hebron Tributary that flows through Hebron. Ohio EPA draft renewal permit


The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a draft renewal permit for the Hebron Water Reclamation Facility. A copy of this permit is available for review at the Hebron Municipal Building located at 934 W. Main Street, Hebron, Ohio. The Ohio EPA is accepting public comments regarding this permit within thirty days of this notice.

State Route 79 Resurfacing


Resurfacing project to continue on SR 79

Jacksontown, Ohio (June, 1, 2014) – A resurfacing project will continue next week, starting Monday, June 2 on State Route 79 near Buckeye Lake. This project is a continuation of the work on SR 360.

Portions of SR 79 will be resurfaced from north of I-70 to Enterprise Drive. Work will be performed at night as well as during the day. This portion of the project will be completed by June 27th, weather permitting.

ODOT’s contractor for this project is the Shelly Company and the completion date for the remainder of this project is September, 2014.
