Overnight Lane Closures on I-70 at the SR 79 Interchange

From the Ohio Department of Transportation:

Beginning Wednesday evening, July 26, at 8:00pm, there will be overnight lane closures in both directions on I-70 at the SR 79 Interchange.

Overnight work hours will be from 8:00pm to 6:00am while crews work on removing falsework from under the bridge. Work is expected to be completed by Thursday morning.

Beginning Friday, July 28, motorists should expect a traffic pattern change on SR 79 at the I-70 Interchange.

One lane of traffic will continue to be maintained on SR 79 in each direction. Motorists traveling southbound on SR 79 will be shifted back to the west onto the new bridge. Motorist traveling northbound on SR 79 will also be shifted west onto the new bridge.

Traffic will be maintained in this pattern for the next several months as crews work to replace the second half of the SR 79 bridge over I-70.

ODOT has closed eastbound Interstate 70 at Ohio 158. Traffic is being routed on US 40 through Hebron. The village of Hebron has placed the traffic signal at 8th Street on flashing yellow to accommodate the extra traffic on Main Street.
The eastbound I-70 traffic is being detoured to Ohio 13 in Jacksontown.
