Ohio House Bill 512 requires Hebron to map the water distribution system and identify any areas that may contain lead service lines and provide that information to the Ohio EPA. The Village of Hebron has historically not used lead in the community’s water distribution system and has required Type K copper in its service lines. Lead service lines were banned nationally in 1986. However, if a customer has reason to believe the service line to their property may contain lead, they are encourage to contact the water department at 740-928-8792.
